For the past ten years, Charles has worked as management advisor in a variety of industries and for companies nationwide on issues including employee relations, compensation and benefit plan development, affirmative action planning and audit management, employment and recruiting, HR automation and outsourcing strategies. 

Charles is past president of the Birmingham Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM), with over 800 members, and current president of the Alabama Industry Liason Group (AILG) that represents the interest of federal contractors with the U.S. Department of Labor. Charles is a member of the International Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the SHRM Consultant Forum.
