Since 1992, CMA has been assisting individuals to bring focus and effectiveness to their career exploration and job search efforts. Our consultants help you identify and understand your career interests and options, as well as work with you to develop a practical, proven personal marketing plan for reaching your goals. We understand the job search process well, and can tailor this knowledge to your own specific needs.
For individuals who need greater direction and support in identifying and meeting their goals, we recommend our comprehensive Career Development Program. Others may choose to take advantage of a customized program to address a specific area of interest, such as career assessment, resume development, or interviewing skills. We also offer ongoing career coaching and advising, although typically recommend focusing each in-person meeting on one or two core topics related to your career exploration and search. CMA consultants strive for clarity of purpose regarding our time with you.

CareerAdvantage® Online Program
CareerAdvantage® was launched in 2009 and represents a cutting-edge online approach to accessing a comprehensive recruiter database, in-depth company profiles, business/hiring intelligence before general market awareness, and a user-friendly approach to managing contacts.
Resume Service
For job seekers only interested in resume assistance, we specialize in writing, updating, editing, and formatting resumes to maximize your written presentation in today's employment marketplace.
Career Development Program
Depending on your individual needs and the amount of time needed to assist you in successfully attaining your career goals, the fee for your individual career development program may vary. Fees include assessment tools and supporting material, as well as all the meetings with a professional career coach. Since each client is unique, each program is tailored to be most effective to your specific objectives. The complete 7 step program is typically completed over an 8 week period during which the individual client meets with their consultant for an hour session each week. In addition to 90 day access to our online CareerAdvantage® program, the 7 step program includes:
Self Knowledge/Assessment
Analysis of your work history, personality, skills, values, and barriers to attaining your career objective. Assessments and interest inventories are utilized as appropriate.
Market Knowledge
Utilization of both online and hard copy resources to determine your target markets - for both profession and industry.
Development of Marketing Tools (typically 2 sessions)
Resume and reference list development, marketing statement, online profiles.
Marketing Plan / Strategy
Development of a "campaign strategy" that is suited to your situation, with a written marketing plan outline with action plans and benchmarks for success. Target company list development.
Making Connections
A focus on developing your active and passive networking skills. Uncovering the "hidden job market" and gaining access to hiring authorities are objectives.
Interviewing
Effective interviewing. Coaching in the most effective techniques for various types of interviews that will help you generate job offers.
Negotiating and Onboarding
How to negotiate the most advantageous compensation package with your next employer, to help ensure long term career growth. Insight into what needs to happen during your first 90 days in the new position.
Clients will routinely opt for 2-3 additional sessions, following the 7 step process, sometimes spread over a period of 1-2 months. This allows for ongoing access to their CMA career consultant, who may help strategize approaches to various target companies and provide tactical advice in a timely fashion.
