Firm Overview and History

Founded in 1992 by Mark Rajotte, CMA: Career Management Associates initially serviced the greater Portland, ME market primarily with individual career assessment and advising services. Mark's previous experience included senior career development training and coaching positions and he decided to leverage that experience in opening his own firm.

By 1994, CMA was offering corporate outplacement services as well, with executive search and coaching services added in 1995 and 1996, respectively. By the mid-1990s, the firm was tracking in the direction of human resource consulting to area companies and organizations. Professional contract employment rounded out the programs by the late-1990s, with expansion continuing across nearly all industries, from the banking and health care to the manufacturing and non-profit sectors.

The firm formally entered the New Hampshire and Vermont markets in 2007 through its association with Lincolnshire International and Arbora Global, together boasting more than 200 independently owned and operated outplacement/coaching firms globally. This association has allowed CMA to provide the highest quality outplacement services regardless of where a company's facilities may be located - CMA enjoys all the benefits of a large, multinational consulting firm while maintaining local roots and control over quality. Lincolnshire sponsored technology initiatives have allowed CMA even greater customization of services recently, with the addition of CareerAdvantage and several HR compliance webinar training modules.

In the latter half of 2009, David Ciullo purchased CMA, with a plan to continue serving and building relationships with existing clients, while bringing greater focus to expanding the firm's market share. HR consulting services was recently added and an office in Bedford, NH was opened to better service New Hampshire clients.
